Postby Retrovega » Thu Sep 29, 2016 12:06 pm

Hey guys

I found you guys off the mybb forums 2016 guild topic.

And i just wanted to find out if you have an active Overwatch player base at all?
And if so does anybody play ranked as a team?

Thanks.

Hi Retrovega,

We do have active players who play together regularly. It's not an official team on paper.

Hopefully that answers your question?

Unfortunately the massive difference in latency between SA and EU forced us to give up on the official team idea.

The entire overwatch community is also slowly being dotafied. a few players stopped playing because of that.

I see. However I find that playing on 180ms doesn't really affect it so badly.
Yes there is the odd instance where you seem to go around a corner on your end by you still get dead because of the latency delay.
But this is few and far in between. But overall i seem to definitely keep up with the EU players in terms of kills/heals/damage etc.

Quick games and ranked games were still relatively ok with the latency.
The regulars could also 'keep up' with most eu regardless of ping.

Shooting itself was not affected by latency too much. (if you saw that you hit someone, it did hit regardless of ping).

The biggest issue is the delay of abilities, especially defensive / escape abilities.
On your screen you pulled the ability off just after being shot once or twice.
On their screen they shot you a couple of times more, their shots hit according to their pc's, so it registers on you as a hit.

Because of this we decided to stick with the standard and not form an official team.

-Equal games is not supposed to favor one side-

The Overwatch community is also one of the worst communities that exists.
It rivals even that of the Dota, Cod and Eso, it may even be as toxic as sorted wow (according to recent developments).
