A Call for RAM (building Frankenstein's monster)

Postby Samundra » Mon Jun 13, 2016 11:51 am

Hey Guys 'n Gals
I feel I need to upgrade my Ram along with the acquisition of a Fresh GTX 1070

BUT my current ram is 7 years old.

3x 2GB 1600Mhz CL7's

BUT I don't think you can get them anymore.

My Mobo (Asus Rampage III Extreme)
can handle 6 x DIMM, Max. 24GB, DDR3 2200(O.C.)/2133(O.C.)/2000(O.C.)/1800(O.C.)/1600/1333/1066 MHz

So my favour  is this.

I want to know if someone has even one slice of Ram in the OC range (2200 / 2133 / 2000 / 1800) lying around.
That I can borrow in Cape Town, to see if I can make it work before then Investing in a HUGE upgrade batch.

Also any additional info would help.

Thanks

Syntech in CPT specialises in Storage/memory - Fast disk and fast memory but does not sell to the public... in fact i should not be showing you the prices but it is to give you an idea...
Left is cost without vat and right is recommended retail price including vat. This is a very small part of a very large stock list but seems to be what you are looking for?

and please don't share outside and sorry i do not have fast memory. Getting too old :P

I just sit back and enjoy.

Women are responsible for food whether it be in the kitchen or from menu.
