Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel announced.

2K Games has just announced a new entry into their immensely popular first person shooter franchise from Gearbox Software. Borderlands: The Pre0-Sequel takes place between the events of Borderlands 1 and 2 and explores Handsome Jack's rise to power. Oh, and it takes place entirely on Pandora's moon.

Four new characters will be at the player's disposal, and fans will no doubt recognize most of them from past games. Athena- The Gladiator, Wilhelm- The Enforcer, Nisha- The Lawbringer and Claptrap himself is making his début as a playable character as the Fragtrap.

Also new to the game is the icy Cryo elemental damage type that will freeze enemies solid, a new laser weapon class, and vehicles that will enable players to explore the low gravity surface of Pandora's moon, which is called Elpis. The game is set to hit PC, PS3 and Xbox 36o, no release date as of yet but the game is scheduled to be shown off quite a bit at PAX East this weekend, so we're bound to here more soon.

New Hotline Miami makes us fear the dial tone once again

A follow up to one of most brutal and satisfying games I've ever had the pleasure to play, Hotline Miami 2 looks like everything a fan of the original could wish for in a sequel. Set to release on  PC, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation Vita in Q3 of 2014, Hotline Miami: Wrong Number takes place both before and after the events of the original and is set to be the conclusion to the series.

Broforce hits Steam Early Access.

Locally developed indie title Broforce is now available on Steam's Early Access program. A new trailer has also been released to crush any resistance you may have had to avoid the title. It manages to fit as much explosions, platforming, guns and glorious democracy into a minute and a half as humanly possible.

Wolfenstein: The New Order shows it's "Nowhere To Run" Trailer

The new Wolfenstein game has had one of the better marketing campaigns I've seen of late. Each trailer does a wonderful job of setting the atmosphere, with cheery pop/rock songs being set against some really dark imagery. The juxtaposition really does wonders for grabbing some attention and if The New Order is anywhere near as good as the 2009 Wolfenstein game I'm more than willing to tag along for the ride.

Fortnite is still alive, Alpha Sign-ups now open.

Since Fortnite's initial reveal two years ago there has been little word from Epic Games regarding the title's development. Now though, they seem are seemingly going all out by  way of sharing a bunch of information with GameInformer for a cover story and opening up sign ups for the game's Alpha.

Fortnite is a free -to-play third-person shooter with procedurally generated worlds in which you can build numerous deadly forts and castles along with friends. It's also been reported to sport an RPG-like progression system and loot drops. Sign up for the closed Aplha here.
