I'm with Munch on this one. I don't mind paying subs if I enjoy the game, hell I gave blizz $15 a month for 5 years (no do not do the math).

What I love the most about models like the one GW2 uses is the "freedom" of not feeling like I have to make time to play else I'm wasting money.

Ironically but not having the "your paying for it and not playing it" monkey on my back I've actually gotten more involved in GW2 that what i ever did in 5 years of WoW.

My personal opinion is that is you feel like you "Have to " play a game then it's probably past it's shelf life for you. You should play because you enjoy it not because you feel forced or obligated.

I wasn't really talking purely about shelf life. I have a wife and two kids.
Life doesn't always allow me the same amount of time per month but the debit order doesn't care.
so
Lets say one month I get to a good 20 hours the next one I only get to 5 or even just 2.
The latter scenario creates the "I have to play more" feeling coz else I'm wasting money.

If I'm not paying a sub I don't care how much time i have to game coz it only affects my characters progress and he can live with being a late bloomer :P

Kinda worried about the small UI, seems like there will be a very limited skill-set for the characters?

I was actually very keen on this game, until i saw this vid....now i wont even bother installing this piece of crap. The fighting is what holds me to a MMO, this im afraid looks way below standard....
